EU responsible person cost in 2026

Published prices for GPSR responsible-person services run from about €150 to €500 a year for low-risk goods, and from about €1,000 a year upwards for CE-marked products such as electronics and toys, where the representative has to verify a full technical file against harmonised standards.

What drives the price

Product risk and the verification it needs; the number of SKUs; whether the representative also handles customs or marketplace account issues; the representative's own insurance costs, which rise sharply for electrical goods, toys and anything for children.

What is usually included

The mandate, the right to use the representative's name and address, document verification at onboarding, a yearly check, and a basic allowance of authority correspondence. Testing, certification and translation are never included; they are the manufacturer's own cost.

Our prices

€199 a year up to 20 SKUs, €349 up to 100, €699 up to 500, for textiles, bags, phone cases, non-electric homeware, stationery, decor, pet accessories, non-protective sports goods and light furniture. Two hours of authority correspondence per product per year included; further hours €90. We do not take categories we would have to price at €1,000.

Cheap and expensive mistakes

Cheap mistake: naming a friend's EU address without a mandate; the first authority letter exposes it. Expensive mistake: no responsible person at all, which marketplaces now punish with suppressed listings and authorities with withdrawal orders.
