Warnings are standard phrases, translated with care, but you are responsible for what goes on your product. If a product has its own EU rules (toys, electronics, cosmetics), it needs more than this label.
What does GPSR require on a product?
Under the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988, a product sold to EU consumers must show the manufacturer's name, postal address and electronic contact, a product identifier such as a model or batch number, and any warnings or safety information in a language the buyer understands. If the manufacturer is outside the EU, it must also show the name, postal address and email of the responsible person established in the EU (Article 16). This can go on the product, its packaging, the parcel or an accompanying document.
And in the online listing?
Article 19 asks for the same information in the listing itself: manufacturer details, the EU responsible person's details, something that identifies the product, and the warnings and safety information. That is the listing text this tool produces.
Do I need an EU responsible person?
If your business is outside the EU and you don't sell through an EU importer or an EU fulfilment service, yes. That is what GPSR Agent does: our name and address go into the responsible person fields, we check your documents and we deal with EU authorities if they ever write.
